Good question. The hang is made only in Switzerland by the two original inventors. There is quite a waiting list and apparently you would have to travel to Switzerland to deal with them in person. Definitely respect their way of doing business, but it certainly makes it tricky for the customer. Occasionally you can find a used one for sale on ebay or on an online hang group such as the one on facebook.

A couple years ago Pantheon Steel began producing a modified version of the hang, it is called the Halo. There is a much shorter waiting list for the Halo, you can find them with a quick Google search for Pantheon Steel. Check out the page for the hang for more information, Click Here.

This message is for Brandon:

Today, I was walking through my office when I heard this wonderful sound. Following the sound led me to a co-worker who had one of your tongue drums. He had been telling me about this amazing little drum but I could never have imagined the beautiful sound that it would make.

Anyway, I would love to have one of these drums. I have many musician friends who are also drummers who I can "turn on" to this fine instrument. I will also make sure to post videos of me or someone else performing on one of your drums.

I cannot wait!
Thanks in Advance,
Terri

A beautiful instrument. And now there is also the Caisa, Halo, Bell, and Spacedrum: http://www.hangdrumsandhandpans.com/2010/10/alternatives-to-hang-drum-for-sale-halo.html
Perhaps one day we will all be lucky enough to own one.

The Array mbira is much more than just another variation on the African mbira. In fact it is the largest and most complex lamellaphone ever made. It is used wordwide by professional musicians, recording artists and film composers. The note arrangement and tonal qualities are so unique and rich that it was recently professionally sampled for an extensive virtual instrument program. Array mbiras are meticulously handcrafted works of art produced in very small quantities. There is usually a waiting list to obtain one.
