On his seventh album, Jeff Ball decided to do something new with his ancient flute. The combination of the Native American flute with the ethereal sound of the hang, the newest member of the percussion family, brings together the Shape of Light. This album is unlike any other you’ll ever hear, just as any worthwhile album should be.

As usual, Jeff Ball delivers a brilliant display of the powerful, soothing and meditative Native American flute, but perhaps it is the balance and accompaniment of the hang along with the piano, cello and other instruments that makes this album special.
